Our own excellent gang on Mototalk raised enough cash to send Cole Boutwell and his family to the US Open, and
on top of that Answer supplied three gear bags full of goodies (above) and got Cole hooked
up with Bridgestone tires and a lot of other sponsors! Here's a note on the gear
snagged off Racerhead "Answer
Racing/ProTaper wants to personally thank all those who supported and donated items to
give to Cole Boutwell at the US Open in Vegas. It was amazing to see the excitement and
surprise in Cole's face when presented with 3 enormous gearbags jam packed with a ton of
goodies. We loaded Cole and his sister Kaisey up with everything from race gear to
T-shirts, goggles, graphics, handlebars, lubricants, sunglasses, shoes and so much more!
Cole and his family were truly thankful for all the cool stuff and the tremendous out
pouring of support from the industry. Cole and family represent what this sport is all
about, family and having a great time doing what we all love, moto! A special thanks goes
out to: Amy/Bridgestone, Mike Collier Jr./Twisted Threads, Dominic Gayton/N-Style, John
Grise/Arnette, Sweet Lou Lopez/Sunstar, Kris Martin/T&K Printing & Active,
Phil/Progressive Motorcycle Safety, Nick/Spy, Jim Ricci/Silkolene & Tsubaki, Irish
Saunders/Hoosier Tires, Rick Smith/Mechanix Wear, Erron Sorensen/Dr. Martens, Spectro

and tuff bloc covers were out at the US Open.
One of MC's sponsors, Mazda,
wasn't on MC's bike or truck at the Open. That doesn't mean they are out for sure
next year. There is still a chance they will pull something together.

Team France won the 2001 MXdN! The team of Demaria, Seguy, and
Mototalker David Vuillemin finished
ahead of Begium after Smets had a bad 3rd
moto. This was France's first MXdN win. The win is significant for Vuillemin because he
wasn't happy about not being on France's team last year. This year he said he wasn't
interested but then took Pichon's place
after a disagreement over a fine caused him to pull out. Everts
was impressive, winning two motos. Australia's Michael
Byrne broke a wrist. Chad Reed,
who will be racing in the US next year for YOT, was also impressive winning one moto.
For details go to www.motogp.com.

Here are two new No Fear "American Pride" t-shirts. These
two have already been added to www.funfactorfive.com
(this is our store from nacnac). They were just released Friday by No Fear, with two more
sometime later this week.
|
|
|
Anyway, just like the other shirts, they are $15.00, with $1.50 from each shirt
sold, going to the Red Cross Relief Fund.
No Fear's goal is to sell 500,000 of these t-shirts, thus donating $250,000. So, it's for
a good cause. They sold several hundred in the first week, thanks in part to a posting on
motonews. They have also set up a 10% discount coupon (good for whatever they buy)
for all motonews users on their next purchase at www.funfactorfive.com. The discount code
to enter on their order form is: FFF100924. No Fear is printing
these t-shirts all day, every day (just to keep up), so allow 4-7 days to ship.
