Scott Metz and Munn Racing have announced that they will be teaming up for the 2005 AMA Supercross series. The team plans to begin their Supercross season at the February 5, 2005, round in Indianapolis, IN after making stops at selected regional and national Arenacross races. Tragedy in Morgantown. RX and local media are reporting a shooing and suicide that took the life of KW's mechanic Jonathan Hyland. Read about it here. Best wishes to his family, his team and his friends, and here's hoping for a full recovery for the victims.

Motonews turns 300! Vancouver is the 300th event covered since LCS Racing and "The Factory Spectator" thingy started as an experiment. Our first event was LA SX in 1997, MC's first night n the RM. It was just supposed to be for that season and just for SX, but someone didn't want to stop.
Ryan Clark out for Vancouver SX. Due to a shoulder injury suffered while practicing this week, Team Solitaire/Fly Racing rider Ryan Clark will not be competing in the Vancouver Supercross this weekend in order to let his shoulder recuperate. Doug DeHaan , age 27, from London, Ontario, Canada will contest the entire 2005 THQ AMA Supercross Series aboard a Champions Honda CRF450 in the 250 class. RC won easily at the Toronto SX, Ramsey won the 125 class on a KTM 250F with Kiniry not too far behind on an ECC Honda. Tortelli and Hansen crashed out. LaRocco rode a strong race for second and Ferry was third. Lewis, Voss rode really well but mistakes cost them.

DV worked hard to win Geneva after a crash. JSR led until the end and DV passed for the win.
Mike Alessi won the Cardiff SX, also on a KTM250F. Not a bad weekend for a bike new to indoor racing.
