Everts won the MXGP

Smets won the 650cc title also.
Here's a press release.

Everts is in for the MXdN,
despite rumors that he would miss it. The Belgian team is Smets,
Everts and Steve Ramon.
Two have titles already, and Ramon leads the points in the 125
class.
Smets is still rumored to be going to Honda next year.
Poll: Who do you want to
win the 125 title?
Mike Alessi won his last mini
race at the Alpinestars Fall National, taking the 85 Open and
Supermini classes. He won schoolboy (125) too. After
this, he's all 125.

RC's wins his 4th 250 outdoor title, and his 10th title overall.
That's a record.
The 250 racing was awesome at Steel City. RC won both motos
but battled with KW both times.
Here's a quick summary.
The 125 title is going to the wire next weekend at Troy.

work out. My ankle doesn't want to stay together and it forced me to
call it a year. It's been a though season for me, two injuries back

I'll be at Steel city to watch the races and see another

Buydos framed! Even in
national minibike racing, the high stakes can still prompt dirty
tricks from propagators of falsehoods.
"Obviously due to some pranks from the competition's pit crew, a
vicious rumor has been spreading about out mid-size class national
champion, involving a course-shortening incident," said the
inaugural mid-size champion Buydos. "These unfound allegations
are pranks from some of the clutch class pit crew. "If the source of
these allegations would care to confront the champion personally,
they will be dealt with in a swift and decisive manner. Winning
fairly is what the championship is all about." "I have never
seen anything but fairplay from the champion," said
TFS, currently running in the
top ten in the prestigious series, "Buydos wouldn't even harm a
track banner. I saw him run one over one time and he stopped
racing to fix it."

Motonews makes 250! Binghamton the the 250th race attended
since Motonews started in 1997.
KTM has the top two spots in 125 points for the championship.
Ryno is all smiles and enjoying being the fastest guy out there
except Bubba. Series leader Langston is feeling the pressure
with 6 motos to go. He's tough and has been riding hurt a lot.

Steve Boniface was released
from KTM as reported, but he went straight to Motoworld Suzuki, and
is riding Hurley's bike, not
Jesseman's. He went over
to KTM to get his stuff under the watchful eye of his agent from OMS
Sports. He seems happy enough.

Stefi Laire remains
unbeatable in WML championship racing. She won both motos at
Binghamton, even though Sarah Whitmore
gave her the best challenge since Hangtown. Whitmore
had both holeshots and battled hard with Laire both motos.
Rookie Broc Hepler is using
one of those trick carburetors from PSI Performance this weekend.

"Curse you Red Baron.." Guy Cooper and the Red Baron
Saturday at Binghamton. Check out the crowd! Since

It's all a lot of fun. When people like
Ezra Lusk, Ernie, and Grant
Langston come up to you as say "hey I saw your moto, nice
going...." like how cool is that!!?
One of the best races of the season was in the MPN Minibike
Nationals "50" class, with Guy Cooper
meeting his match by some guy with a totally high-dollar mini called
the "Red Baron." The two
totally went at it both motos at Binghamton and traded moto wins.
The Baron came out on top by winning moto 2.
Rob Buydos clinched the MPN

According to a post on Mototalk, Pichon hurt his knee and is out

injury, Brown with shoulder
popping out.
Craig Decker is filling in

Jeff Kent from the Houston

Jeff Brewer to get one. Kent rides too.
Brewer was at Binghamton making casts from KTM team members wrists,
and he is doing the YOT team at Troy.
Ryno just signed to race for
KTM one more summer. He's doing the outdoors only in 2004, 125
class. After that, he might move on to Supermoto for a couple
of seasons for KTM.
PR on Boniface: San
Diego, CA, August 21, 2003. Team KTM and
Steve Boniface have mutually agreed to end their
relationship. Effective immediately, Steve is released from his
obligations to the Team. No further statement from either party
will be issued on this matter.
What does this all mean with Boniface? It means lawyers on
both sides talked and KTM decided to release him now with pay.
No one involved can comment. He will race this weekend on

Read Mototalk to find out about the fuss over
Boniface's suspension from KTM,
Bubba and RC's 1-1 at
Millville, and where Brown is
racing in 2004.
Racer X called Duke Finch to
get a clarification on what happened between
Boniface and KTM.
Go see.

RC and
Bubba were clearly the strongest riders Saturday at
MIllville. All the attention seemed to center around the newly
extended sand whoop section, which is about 1/3 longer. All
the team folks gathered along the section to see how their riders
would do. RC's best lap time (from AMA transponders) was
2:13.339, LaRocco was second at
2:16.114. KW was way down
the list, which means he just didn't do a complete lap at speed.
RC definitely has the confidence advantage this time. Our
privateer reporter Zeb Armstrong
is having motor trouble with his bike popping.
Reed's bike (a 450 this weekend)
quit on in the beginning of the first practice and he waited while
Yamaha techs changed his motor for the second.
Stefi Laier won the first

Sarah Whitmore on the same
planet as her.
DV wore a jersey with his new
baby in it in one practice and the "Screw Hammertime" jersey in the
second. His
practice report is up here.

Did I see that? Yes, it's RC
himself playing guitar after ripping through practice at Millville.
His motorcoach driver Boo (left)
is teaching him how to play.

Eric Nye, like
Broc Hepler, finished up his
amateur career at Loretta's and is racing Millville. He's on
the Mach 1 team this weekend.

Branden Jesseman broke his
wrist right next to the bone that he broke last time. He is
now out for the season. Also at Millville Saturday,
Langston took a handlebar to the
stomach but will be OK, and Sorby
didn't finish practice due to an illness (food poisoning or
something).

Among the topics to be discussed are Grant's 11 point lead in the
hunt for the 125 Outdoor Title and upcoming race events.

Jeff Ward was at Loretta's
with brochures for "Ward Sports Management," his new company.
Ward will be representing both moto folks and car drivers. For

Weather finally cleared up for Thursday's racing at Loretta's.
The track is great, and the walkways around the track are deep with
mud, so if you go off the track-splat!
Media turnout at Loretta's is really strong. Besides the
regulars like Homey, Thom Veety, James
Pillow, Playground Magazine, Cudby, Hultner, and more, we
have our own Kardas and
Motodrive/Transworld's GuyB.
Racer X is reporting that Pastrana
hurt his knee again jumping into his foam pit at home. It
isn't clear yet if he can still compete in the X Games. Rumors
about tricks he has been doing include the barrel roll, double
backflip (only into a pit) and a 360, or a 360/backflip. Take
your pick which one you want to believe.

Day two of racing at Lorettas was wet again! The morning

Loretta's news tidbit: Mike Alessi
has won all his motos so far, and Villapoto
has protested his fuel. Someone who looked noted the fuel in
his supermoto mini looked different than the one he used in 85 mod
14-15. According to Tony Alessi's newsletter, they run two
different fuels from VP Racing that are Loretta's legal.

The morning motos were muddy at Lorettas. Full results go

The special News and Photos section is there too.

Mud scrapped off the track for Monday's practice.
Weather was good for practice at Loretta's, but a rain hit for
about an hour at dusk. The rain is probably not enough to mess up
the track, even if the ground is pretty soaked here.
There are seven pages of News, People and Practice from Lorettas
so far on the special News/Photos section.
