Cheyne Picard Memorial Fund
This tragedy has really hit the Picard family. Please help if you can, it means a lot.
This is a memorial fund opened by Cheyne's Family to help
to aid in paying his cost of funeral and medical
bills. There are also bills from the ride to the
hospital to towing the wrecked car.
Thursday morning December 2, 2004 Cheyne got up in the
morning like always and headed to school. This was the
first day he was able to drive to school as a senior
this year in his own car. His car all year was being
worked on as the shop working on it had some problems.
He was driving down one of the main streets in the
direction to his school and a truck pulled onto the
same street and just clipped the back on Cheyne's car
and spun his car around out of control. His car hit a
power pole and most of the impact was absorbed by
Cheyne. He had 2 other friends with him that was also injured in the car. All 3 boys was rushed to the
hospital. All 3 boys was in the ICU unit. Cheyne had
massive head injuries. They did 2 surgery's on Cheynes
head taking off part of his scull so that his brain
could have room to swell. He was moved to ICU and
stayed there for 5 days. The time he spent in ICU he
was on life support. He passed away on the 5th day.
We have put together a Memorial fund account to try
and raise money for all the medical bills that arise
due to this tragedy. Any kind of donations are very
appreciated.
